About the role
- Senior FPGA Engineer involved in the full lifecycle of product development for high performance appliances in a Defensive Cyber market. Requires VHDL experience and eligibility for UK security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Involved in the full lifecycle of product development, from concept, design, through delivery, and into support
- Develop high performance appliances for the Defensive Cyber market
- Design the whole appliance from high performance C++, embedded software, FPGA firmware (VHDL), custom PCBs, power distribution, and thermal management
Requirements
- Experience with VHDL
- Familiarity with at least 1 modern FPGA tool chain (ideally Altera but could be Xilinx, Achronix, or similar)
- Candidates must hold, or be eligible to gain UK security clearance and meet nationality requirements
- Experience in high bandwidth data processing in FPGAs
- Experience in working with high bandwidth FPGA interfaces such as networking and DRAMs
- Task planning experience
- An appreciation of hardware design
