About the role

  • Play a key leadership role within an integrated engineering team, guiding and developing your people while ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of engineering artefacts.
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of the Facilities Monitoring and Control (FMC) subsystem, ensuring it meets cost, schedule and technical requirements across the Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System and other related projects.
  • Lead systems engineering activities including requirements management, subsystem integration, acceptance testing, certification and technical investigations.
  • Support the design, delivery, sustainment and operational readiness of critical defence communication capabilities across Australia.

Requirements

  • Extensive relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.
  • A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve desired results.
