About the role
- Senior Mechanical Designer at Cavendish Nuclear leading design tasks and coordinating engineering efforts. Ensuring compliance with regulations and providing technical support in detailed design environments.
Responsibilities
- Allocate design tasks, support and guide a team of Designers, ensuring high‑quality outputs.
- Lead inter‑disciplinary coordination to meet regulatory and company standards.
- Prepare and check design drawings, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and project requirements.
- Advise on best methods, tools, and techniques for design tasks, providing technical support to the design team.
- Liaise with customers to support relationship development, resolve technical issues, and ensure progress transparency.
Requirements
- Experience working in a detailed design environment.
- Strong knowledge of CAD tools and engineering drawing practices.
- Demonstrable experience providing technical leadership within a multi‑discipline design environment.
- Incorporated Engineer status (desirable).
- HNC/HND (minimum) in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification.
- Must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
