About the role

  • Network Security Engineer maintaining network security baseline at Babcock, developing knowledge in networking technologies and handling vulnerability management and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • As the Network Security Engineer, you will have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in a wide range of networking technologies.
  • The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the network security baseline and other tasks such as vulnerability management, threat detection and monitoring, incident response and security control implementation.
  • Developing and enhance Network and Cyber Security baselines
  • Implementing Cyber Security tooling
  • Assisting with business-as-usual network configuration
  • Performing gap analysis on systems and services
  • Maintaining baselines of endpoints and servers
  • Working across Linux and Microsoft Technology stacks

Requirements

  • An understanding of security architecture required within compartmented certified environments.
  • Knowledge of JSP 604, 440 and relevant BS EN standards.
  • Experience in a Network Security role.
  • Experience of ICT systems in complexed environments.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and cataloguing Configuration Management documentation.
  • Experience with Network Security supported by a relevant certificate/ qualification.
  • The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
  • You may be required to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance once in post.
