About the role

  • Deliver innovative engineering change proposals for the Royal New Zealand Navy fleet
  • Ensure projects meet strict quality, safety, and schedule requirements
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and stakeholders
  • Apply critical thinking and technical expertise to create solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Washington Accord accredited)
  • Eligibility for Professional Engineer membership through a recognised body
  • Membership of a relevant technical body (preferably certified)
  • Desire for Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Engineering design and documentation
  • Familiarity with PLM/MRP systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Team collaboration and stakeholder engagement
  • Computer proficiency and technical software skills
  • Ability to manage tasks to time, cost, quality
  • Continuous improvement mindset
