About the role

  • Security Officer responsible for armed security at the Arizona State Courts Building. Patrolling, monitoring security systems, and ensuring safety during shifts, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Providing armed security services at the Arizona State Courts Building
  • Patrolling the building, grounds, and parking lots
  • Operating screening equipment and monitoring security systems
  • Investigating unusual or suspicious circumstances
  • Operating and monitoring activities with CCTV, duress alarms, and security cameras
  • Required to work shifts, holidays, and weekends

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years experience in a related field such as law enforcement, military police, peace officer or personal security
  • Ability to meet firearms use standards
  • Knowledge of security procedures and practices, including fire hazard inspection
  • Ability to operate security devices such as metal detectors and X-ray machines
  • Skill in using defensive tactics
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
