About the role

  • ICT System Engineer responsible for planning and implementing Authentication Services at Axpo Group. Ensuring security and availability of infrastructure in a nuclear context with hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementation and orchestration of ICT platforms and solutions in on-premises environments with a focus on AD, ADFS, PKI and IAM
  • Definition, configuration and optimization of the above services and integration with various ICT infrastructure components (e.g. NAC, MFA services, core and business applications, etc.)
  • Contributing to the overall ICT architecture as a subject-matter expert for Authentication Services and the surrounding systems that rely on the authentication services
  • Ownership and responsibility for all Authentication Services across the entire ICT infrastructure (Platform Owner)
  • Designing and further developing Authentication Services and their concepts with respect to availability, security and data integrity through standardization and automation
  • Operating the Authentication Services and actively supporting the operation of the overall ICT infrastructure
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration within the ICT infrastructure team with other specialists (e.g. network, virtualization, infrastructure, etc.)
  • Coordinating and performing in-depth diagnostics for performance issues, fault analysis and capacity planning for the various Authentication Services
  • Documenting system configurations and processes and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Completed education and further training in computer science or a comparable technical qualification with several years of experience in Authentication Services
  • Solid experience in planning, implementing and operating AD, IAM and PKI solutions
  • General IT expertise in IT infrastructure (compute, storage, server and client virtualization, as well as server and application operations)
  • High security awareness when designing and operating IT platforms and solutions
  • Standardization and automation know‑how as a basis for cost-efficient and reliable operations
  • Interest in the nuclear industry and willingness to build long-term domain expertise there
  • Independent, structured and analytical way of working
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Very good spoken and written German skills and good English skills
  • Willingness to perform maintenance assignments and to participate in on-call rotations
  • Clean criminal record (no convictions)
  • Driver's license, category B
