About the role
- Mechanical Design Engineer for AVK-SEG, focusing on UPS and Generator projects in the UK and Europe. Join a leading provider of critical power systems in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Produce mechanical designs for UPS and Generator systems.
- Provide technical support to Sales during pre‑contract phases.
- Own mechanical package design from handover to completion.
- Develop design documentation including drawings, data sheets, calculations.
- Support Project Managers with documentation and testing procedures.
- Attend client, supplier and witness test meetings.
- Lead technical studies on mechanical systems.
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering degree or: equivalent.
- 3–5 years’ experience in Mechanical Design.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD and Revit skills.
- Willingness to travel for testing.
- Full UK driving licence.
- **Desired:**
- Knowledge of fluid systems, ventilation, CDM, materials.
- Understanding of electrical distribution and control systems.
