About the role
- Backend Developer responsible for backend services' design, development, and maintenance for e-commerce. Collaborating with teams to enhance system architecture and ensure reliable code.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services (primarily in Go) for e-commerce, licensing, and web platforms
- Analyze business requirements from presales, sales, support, and after-sales processes
- Build and optimize APIs and data-driven solutions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Contribute to the system architecture and enhance existing services
- Act as a technical contact for adjacent teams (frontend, product, support)
- Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Support DevOps processes (CI/CD, monitoring, deployments)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of backend services
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
Requirements
- 7 years of experience in a similar position
- Several years of professional experience in backend development with Go (Golang)
- Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
- Experience with microservices and containerized infrastructure (Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with additional languages (Scala/Java, PHP, Node.js) is a plus
- Ability to analyze complex systems and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Proactive mindset, structured work style, and strong collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and German (written and spoken)
