Responsibilities
- Administration and maintenance of application infrastructure
- Support and operation of test, reference, and production environments
- Handling incidents and problems as part of 2nd line support
- Participation in on‑call duties outside regular service hours
- Operational database administration
- Application and infrastructure monitoring
- Analysis of system and application logs
- Support of Java‑based applications running on Apache and Tomcat
- Monitoring and operation of batch processing and automation
- Escalation of complex issues to 3rd line support teams when required
- Cooperation with technical and business stakeholders
- Working in accordance with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management)
- Creation and maintenance of operational documentation and knowledge base
Requirements
- Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
- Experience in 2nd line application and infrastructure support
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server environments
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems
- Experience with Apache Web Server and Tomcat administration and configuration
- Database administration experience with Oracle Database and MySQL
- Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools (CheckMK)
- Scripting experience using PowerShell
- Good understanding of ITIL processes
- Nice to Have Java SE knowledge, especially for log and error analysis
- ITIL v4 (or newer) certification
- Experience working in high‑availability environments
- Advanced Linux administration or shell scripting skills
