Responsibilities
Join our Buildings and Places multi-disciplinary design service
Support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across various sectors
Design and coordinate sustainable drainage systems and hard landscaping
Cover civil infrastructure works such as car parks, access roads, external works, and drainage systems
Involvement in statutory approvals, technical consents, and planning-related submissions
Work on projects throughout the UK with occasional opportunities for international projects
Form part of a growing civil engineering team within AtkinsRéalis’ national Building Design Practice
Requirements
Experience working as a Civil Engineer ideally in the buildings sector
Honors Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or HND or equivalent experience
Working towards Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE)
Experience in the design and analysis of drainage, utilities, paved and unpaved surfaces, earthworks, access and accessibility, construction logistics
Experience with current UK design standards and working practices.
Good communication and presentation skills, verbal and written (for report writing purposes)
Ability to use AutoCAD and Civils 3D
Revit BIM 360 experience is also desirable
Ability to use Infodrainage or Flow as a drainage hydraulic modelling package with confidence
Ability to carry out Swept Path Analysis within AutoCAD
Embrace new technologies including digital engineering, automation and parametric design
Ability to achieve SC clearance (highly desirable)
