About the role

Responsibilities
- Join our Buildings and Places multi-disciplinary design service
- Support the delivery of civil infrastructure projects across various sectors
- Design and coordinate sustainable drainage systems and hard landscaping
- Cover civil infrastructure works such as car parks, access roads, external works, and drainage systems
- Involvement in statutory approvals, technical consents, and planning-related submissions
- Work on projects throughout the UK with occasional opportunities for international projects
- Form part of a growing civil engineering team within AtkinsRéalis’ national Building Design Practice
Requirements
- Experience working as a Civil Engineer ideally in the buildings sector
- Honors Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or HND or equivalent experience
- Working towards Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE)
- Experience in the design and analysis of drainage, utilities, paved and unpaved surfaces, earthworks, access and accessibility, construction logistics
- Experience with current UK design standards and working practices.
- Good communication and presentation skills, verbal and written (for report writing purposes)
- Ability to use AutoCAD and Civils 3D
- Revit BIM 360 experience is also desirable
- Ability to use Infodrainage or Flow as a drainage hydraulic modelling package with confidence
- Ability to carry out Swept Path Analysis within AutoCAD
- Embrace new technologies including digital engineering, automation and parametric design
- Ability to achieve SC clearance (highly desirable)
