About the role
- Tax Senior Associate preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals and businesses. Conducting research and mentoring interns within the firm.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, S and C-corporations
- Conduct online tax research
- Identify key planning opportunities throughout the year and develop a framework for tax strategies that best align with client needs and goals
- Assist in identifying and promoting the development of new delivery capabilities and/or channels to satisfy evolving market requirements
- Support the partner team in the development and planning of practice strategy, objectives, and budgets
- Build on strong coaching skills to mentor key talent
- Train, develop, and mentor Interns and Staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience
- Certified Public Accountant (US) or qualified Chartered Accountant
- Expert Knowledge on Axcess Tax, XCM, TaxCaddy, SurePrep, and Caseware preferred
- Experience with a wide variety of entity types
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Tech savvy & adaptable to changing work expectations
