About the role

• Structural Engineer designing concrete and steel structures such as quay walls and jetties for maritime projects. Involved in hydraulic and infrastructure initiatives domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Arcadis works with multidisciplinary teams on hydraulic, maritime, and infrastructure projects both domestically and internationally;
• You are the specialist in the field of designing concrete and steel structures such as quay walls, jetties, docks, retaining walls, locks, and weirs.
• Your tasks include designing and evaluating this type of structures.
• You design and test these works based on current codes, standards and guidelines.
• For that, you master the common design software and Finite Element packages such as SCIA and RFEM.

Requirements

• A master or bachelor in the field of civil engineering with a specialization in structural engineering, steel or concrete structures;
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a structural engineer, preferably within maritime and hydraulic infrastructure, but other types of infrastructure or buildings are certainly acceptable;
• Experience with SCIA, RFEM, MathCad;
• Experience with other FEM packages is a plus, such as ANSYS, DIANA, or LS Dyna.
• Affinity for programming is a plus. (Python, VB, Dynamo)
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
