About the role
- Project Bridge Design Engineer working for Arcadis on designing solutions for bridges and related structures in a collaborative team setting. This role involves technical design, plan production, and team collaboration on multi-state projects.
Responsibilities
- Design of new bridges and bridge widenings
- Design of retaining walls and other transportation-related structures
- Collaborate with other design disciplines for project delivery
- Provide directions to junior level staff inside of the project team, as needed.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 7+ years’ relevant experience in bridge engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) Certification
- Must possess excellent technical skills in the design of bridges and other transportation-related structures
- familiarity with LEAP Bridge (CONSPAN and RCPier specifically)
- MathCAD
- Microstation
- Microsoft Office
- Experience with FDOT policies and procedures highly desired
- Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight
- Must possess the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously
- Must have solid communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to convey information to technical and non-technical individuals.
