About the role
- Azure Architect designing, implementing secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure for enterprise-scale workloads. Collaborating across teams to shape architectural designs and modernize applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end Azure architectures covering compute, storage, networking, identity, and security.
- Create reference architectures, solution blueprints, and landing zone designs following Azure best practices.
- Provide architectural guidance for modern data platforms, analytics, integration, and AI workloads, including data classification and security.
- Participate in technical design workshops, gathering requirements and shaping cloud adoption roadmaps.
- Lead the deployment of Azure resources using IaC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and DevOps pipelines.
- Support application modernization efforts, including containerization, microservices and data design.
- Ensure sound solution design for integrations, dataflows, networking, and security posture.
- Define and enforce governance standards across Azure management groups, subscriptions, RBAC, policies, and cost controls.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Establish monitoring, observability, and tagging strategies for enterprise workloads.
- Act as a technical advisor to business and delivery leaders, providing insights on cloud capabilities and constraints.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data, and security teams to ensure technical coherence.
- Mentor developers, engineers, and junior architects on Azure technologies and patterns.
- Evaluate existing workloads to identify opportunities for performance tuning, resilience improvements, and cost optimization.
- Recommend design patterns for high availability, geo-redundancy, disaster recovery, and elasticity.
- Provide continuous cloud improvement recommendations aligned to long-term strategy.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, solution architecture, or related technical fields.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, storage, data, security).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Landing Zones, hybrid connectivity, and cloud governance frameworks.
- Proficiency in DevOps (Azure DevOps or GitHub), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Familiarity with microservices, API management, Kubernetes (AKS), and container ecosystems.
- Experience with data platform or analytics workloads is a plus (e.g., Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory).
- Focus on Data Security with Purview and similar services.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
