About the role

• Structural Designer contributing to design and evaluation of bridges and transit structures. Collaborating with senior engineers and project managers in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, evaluation, and construction of transportation and transit structures.
• Assist with technical documentation, design calculations, construction administration, and site inspections.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on project coordination, contract documentation, proposals, and client meetings.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met while developing professional skills through mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is an asset).
• Working towards a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
• 1-2 years of experience in the design, evaluation, and rehabilitation of bridge, transportation, or transit-related structures.
• Good knowledge of CSA S6 (CHBDC), CSA A23, CSA S16, OBC, OPSS, and MTO Structural and Rehabilitation Manuals.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, MathCAD, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and willingness to conduct site inspections as required.
