About the role
- Software Engineer in Test for educational platforms at Anthology. Automating tests for LMS, working with Agile teams in a cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Actively contributing to the automation of test cases after coming up with test scenarios from the product requirements
- Become an active member of an agile team of developers participating in daily stand-ups, design sessions, code reviews, and sprint demos
- Embrace test driven development as an integral part of what you deliver as a software developer
- Respond to the unique challenges of delivering and maintaining cloud-based software including troubleshooting live production environments, minimizing downtime, and responding to client-reported issues
- Build the capabilities for looking at the complete stack of technology layers for providing fixes and developing features
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of Software Testing methodology
- Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills
- 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Comfortable with Automation frameworks and building automation test suites
- Experience with testing business applications and responsible for team quality
- Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git/Stash/GitHub
- Experience in the full SDLC lifecycle
- Knowledge of Manual or Automation testing concepts
- Knowledge of preparing Test cases
- Knowledge of WDIO, JavaScript, Java, Appium, and Selenium
- Knowledge of RESTful web services
- Agile project experience along with working on Agile tools ADO
