Responsibilities

  • Research on uncertainty quantification and decision making under uncertainty
  • Quantify the epistemic uncertainty in sliced-normal distributions estimated from data
  • Perform design using chance-constrained optimization and robust optimization
  • Explore data-driven, risk-averse and risk-agnostic formulations
  • Develop techniques to refine/reduce the model of epistemic uncertainty

Requirements

  • Operations Research, Mathematics or Engineering graduate with a focus on robust optimization
  • Tail-risk analysis
  • Imprecise probability modeling
