About the role
- Liaison Engineering Professional joining the A220 aircraft engineering team in Mirabel. Responsible for analyzing and dispositioning repairs for structural non-conformances.
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze and disposition repairs for structural non-conformances in a timely manner
- Rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength/stiffness to the surrounding structure
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications and provide guidance to methods and production staff
- Adhere to Material Review Board (MRB) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures
- Lead internal audits in accordance with ISO, Transport Canada, NADCAP and Six Sigma standards
- Maintain current knowledge of aircraft structural developments to recommend innovations
- Participate in projects to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve financial performance
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to achieve business objectives
Requirements
- University or college degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Material Review Board (MRB) or airframe design in aerospace
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft structures and system installation technical requirements
- Strong sense of commitment and willingness to accept responsibility in a high-pressure production environment
- Hands-on experience using CATIA V5
- Bilingual (French and English)
