About the role

  • Project Engineer managing the Quebec City Tramway project, ensuring safety, quality, and budget standards for Aecon. Collaborating with design and construction teams in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the design team and the construction team to resolve field issues.
  • Oversee work progress, ensure adherence to the schedule, and produce accurate progress reports.
  • Manage change requests, site directives, and relationships with subcontractors.
  • Participate in budget monitoring and cost variance analysis in collaboration with the Director of Construction.
  • Ensure strict application of Aecon's safety program and quality standards on site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or equivalent.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing major infrastructure or civil transportation projects.
  • Excellent command of French (spoken and written); English is a major asset for pan‑Canadian collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, complex construction-site environment.
