Responsibilities
Responsible for balance sheet accounting
Independent management of the general and subsidiary ledgers of the holding companies
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
Reconciliation of intercompany relationships and intra-group settlements
Posting and accrual of group allocations, investment income and financing transactions
Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Preparation of the consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (HGB)
Review of compliance with group policies at the subsidiaries
Reconciliation of intercompany balances at group level
Participation in the development of accounting policies and internal processes
Ad-hoc analyses and reporting for management
Support for planning, budgeting and forecasting processes at holding level
Preparation of VAT returns, EC sales lists (ZM reports) and assistance with tax filings
Point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and internal audit
Ensuring compliance with internal control systems (ICS) and group policies
Requirements
Completed commercial training with further qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (IHK) or a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance
Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally within a holding or group structure
Solid knowledge of accounting under HGB; IFRS knowledge is a plus
Confident user of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar)
Confident user of consolidation systems (e.g., IBM Cognos, LucaNet or similar)
Analytical thinking, strong numerical affinity and a structured, independent way of working
Reliable team player with a strong sense of responsibility and good communication skills
