About the role
- Freelance Video Producer creating impactful videos for performance and content marketing at Accountable in Berlin. Focusing on high-quality output, collaboration, and innovation in video production.
Responsibilities
- You take strong in-house ideas and turn them into videos that genuinely perform.
- Develop concrete video concepts from ideas
- Shoot independently
- Edit independently
- Build hooks, variants and cutdowns
- Think not only in “beautiful videos,” but in conversion and watch time
- Help us build a scalable video output
- Film short founder, product, or talking-head formats
- Edit videos in the 30–90 second range
- Help establish a simple, repeatable studio setup
- Think in formats rather than one-off projects
- Setup approx. 1.5 days per week (retainer)
- Regular on-site work in Berlin
- Long-term collaboration desired
Requirements
- You both shoot and edit yourself
- Strong portfolio in Paid Social, Reels, or YouTube short-form
- Strong sense for hooks, pace, story, and platform logic
- Able to turn minimal input into useful, high-quality assets quickly
- Pragmatic approach — you avoid over-engineering
- Comfortable working in a fast startup environment
- Demonstrable experience in video production and content creation
- Ability to develop and execute your own creative concepts
- Excellent video editing skills
- Native-level German with good English skills
- Experience creating marketing assets and working with performance metrics
- Creative thinker who can develop innovative solutions
- Optional / nice-to-have: experience with UGC-style ads, founder-led content, testimonials/product marketing; experience with small in-house studios; ability to build repeatable content systems; on-camera experience; animation skills; active social media usage and an understanding of advertising on Instagram and TikTok; experience as a freelancer or self-employed person that gives insight into our users’ challenges
