About the role
- System Administrator/IT Consultant role providing system administration and IT consulting for clients. Involving strategy projects and operational management of IT infrastructures in a hybrid setup.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the operation of business and process IT
- Plan, install, and administer highly available virtualization and server systems, storage environments, and IT infrastructures
- Install and configure new servers, systems, and software
- Participate in strategy, innovation, digitalization, and change projects
- Provide technical design for interfaces between technical applications of business and process IT and other departments
Requirements
- Successfully completed vocational training in the IT field or a degree in information technology, computer science, or a comparable discipline
- Several years of professional experience in system administration and working with complex IT infrastructures
- Ideally experience and knowledge in IT security and firewall administration
- Experience in IT project and process management
- Knowledge of virtualization environments, storage networks, and Microsoft Windows Active Directory environments as well as Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of terminal server environments and experience with Citrix is desirable
