About the role

Network Engineer supporting design and implementation of enterprise network solutions at Comcast Business. Providing troubleshooting and escalation support while mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Serves as a technical lead, providing guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.
This position works under limited supervision.
Leads the design and implementation of custom network solutions for existing and potential customers.
Follows best-practice industry standards to provide a network design which is functional, scalable and secure.
Supports the Solutions Architect group to design, document and implement customer pilots and provide support for customer testing as required while in the pilot phase of the sales process.
Provides network engineering support to Sales organization as required.
Provides Tier IV escalation support to Help Desk.
Troubleshoots, diagnoses and resolves customer network issues.
Recommends changes to remediate any network deficiencies to enhance network performance.

B.A. or B.S. Degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university or commensurate experience.
7+ years of experience in network design, implementation, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex networks.
CCNP, JNCIP, FNCSP(NSE4), CCVP, CCSP Certification or equivalent on-the-job experience.
Strong working knowledge of various Vendor routers, switches, firewalls and wireless devices to include the following vendors; Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper.
Strong understanding of networking technologies.
