About the role
- Senior Manager, Operations Compliance at Equinix managing EHS compliance across AMER operations. Leading audits, risk management, and ensuring safety in the workplace.
Responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, develop, and retain EHS compliance staff within the AMER region.
- Oversee and manage internal and external EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS laws, regulations, and Equinix global standards.
- Investigate non-compliance, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain local EHS procedures tailored to site-specific and regional requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to operations teams on EHS best practices and policies.
- Track and report EHS metrics (e.g., incident rates, audit findings) and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with regional and global EHS, Legal, and Operations teams to maintain robust safety protocols.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in EHS compliance
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in data center environments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing and managing a team.
- Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
