About the role

  • Governance and Strategy Principal managing critical risk and compliance topics at PG&E. Leading enterprise standards and facilitating strategic governance forums within Electric Risk and Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Shape agendas for risk and compliance forums
  • Lead executive-level forums, including the Risk and Compliance Committee (RCC)
  • Serve as the enterprise lead for the Commitment Information Center (CIC)
  • Identify, frame, and elevate cross-functional risk and compliance topics
  • Strengthen commitment management practices
  • Advise cross-functional teams on KPIs, KRIs, and maturity metrics
  • Steward the enterprise framework for executive-level risk and compliance communication
  • Translate complex regulatory, compliance, and risk information into structured insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree in a technical or legal field, or equivalent advanced experience (desired)
  • Advanced proficiency in policy development, strategy, change management, and regulatory horizon scanning
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership in fostering cross functional alignment
  • Strong familiarity with compliance frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience developing and coordinating executive level, decision ready materials
  • Exceptional facilitation and influencing skills
  • Deep knowledge of utility or energy industry drivers, issues, trends, and regulatory dynamics
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies (CPUC, FERC, NERC, etc.).
