Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple client accounts, acting as a trusted partner while coordinating internal teams to deliver high-quality medical communications programmes.
  • Ensure projects run smoothly, budgets are managed effectively, and new opportunities are identified to expand client relationships.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of medical communications programmes.
  • Ensure clear project roles, timelines, and responsibilities across teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and act as their primary contact.
  • Provide regular project updates and strategic recommendations.
  • Attend client meetings, workshops, and conferences where required.
  • Oversee programme tactics and ensure all deliverables meet strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outputs on time.
  • Ensure programmes reflect client strategy and evolving external environment.
  • Manage programme budgets and financial agreements with clients.
  • Track account financial performance and report to senior leadership.
  • Ensure invoices and project reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client accounts.
  • Support proposal development and pitch preparation.
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities across client organisations.
  • Line manage junior team members up to Account Manager level.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support career development.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a medical education or medical communications agency
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of commercial drivers within agency environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
