About the role

  • Technical Buyer responsible for international material procurement and supplier negotiations in engineering for luxury yachts and industrial machines. Working in a team with expertise in hydraulics and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Independently responsible for international material procurement
  • Participation in negotiating national and international framework agreements
  • Optimization of the supplier portfolio
  • Evaluation of quotations and value-analysis assessments
  • Monitoring and tracking delivery dates
  • Maintenance of the ERP system: creation and upkeep of master data
  • Creation and maintenance of articles and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Point of contact for suppliers regarding inquiries and orders
  • Material planning and inventory optimization
  • Processing and review of engineering documentation - interface between design and production
  • Preparation and review of bills of materials and work/process plans

Requirements

  • Completed technical vocational training or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge in machining, welding and assembly techniques
  • Proficient in MS Office and experience working with ERP systems
  • Good communication skills and a hands-on mentality
  • Confident reading of technical drawings
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Previous experience in shipbuilding/hydraulics is advantageous
