About the role
- Mortgage Loan Processor assisting members and loan originators with Real Estate Loan applications. Processing various mortgage loan types to ensure a superior member experience at Fox Communities Credit Union.
Responsibilities
- Assist members and Fox Mortgage Loan Originators with their Real Estate Loan applications
- Review applications for accuracy and collect necessary documentation for review by Fox underwriting for final loan approval
- Ensure a superior member experience
- Promote and uphold the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
- Review income and asset documentation, credit reports, title reports, and appraisals for credit union in-house and secondary market standards
- Submit applications with supporting documentation to underwriting for approval timely
- Interact professionally with internal and external members, originators, real estate agents, and outside third-party associated vendors to obtain necessary documentation
- Process a variety of mortgage loan applications from home equity products, purchase, refinance, and construction transactions
- Manage application workflow to ensure timely approvals and meet lock expiration dates
- Answer internal and external member phone calls, emails, and other communications
Requirements
- One to three years of similar or related experience
- Ability to speak and translate fluent English and a second language as required for this position
- Ability to work independently to organize and prioritize tasks, manage time to meet deadlines, understand potential issues, and steps to resolve
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
- Knowledge of real estate loan processing, closing policies, procedures, documentation, and basic underwriting requirements.
