Responsibilities
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
Ensure the product backlog is transparent and visible to all stakeholders, with a roadmap that aligns with future releases.
Work closely with development teams and stakeholders to define clear requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.
Prioritize backlog items to achieve business objectives, ensuring a balance between business needs and technical feasibility.
Collaborate with the development team to establish a clear definition of “done” and plan release cycles.
Work with stakeholders to define product needs and requirements, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy.
Act as the product expert for payment systems, providing insights and updates on the latest trends and competitive landscape.
Ensure stakeholders formally approve development deliverables before release to production.
Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and presentations for internal teams and stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date product documentation and ensure easy access to product information.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, security protocols, and regulations per entity.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner in payment systems, fintech, or banking.
Deep understanding of payment gateways, transaction flows, and payment technologies.
Experience with card payment processing, card acquirers, online banking, and alternative payment methods.
Experience with third-party banks, payment providers, or fintech API integrations.
Strong ability to communicate with business stakeholders, development, UX designers, and other Product Owners.
Ability to assess the viability, desirability, and feasibility of third-party technical integrations.
Solid technical knowledge of payment method integrations.
Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude to overcome challenges.
